Who the App is for
Lodestar is an internal tool for SKIA personnel and invited collaborators. It is not offered to the public. You can only sign in with an account that a SKIA administrator has created for you. You can't sign up in the App.
Information we collect
Account information. SKIA creates your Lodestar account with your name, work email address and role (Viewer, Reviewer or Admin). You sign in with that email address and your password. Your password goes to our server only to verify it, and the App never stores it.
Sign-in token and device label. After you sign in, our server issues an access token, which the App keeps in your device's Keychain. The token is saved on our server with a label naming the device type (for example, "Lodestar app — iPad"). You can see and revoke your tokens from your profile in the Lodestar web app. Signing out of the App revokes the token.
Work content you create. When you use the App, our server stores the following and links it to your account:
- Runs you start and the compounds, targets, indications and settings you enter
- Company documents ("decks") you upload for intake: PDF, PowerPoint, Word or text files, up to 20 MB
- Names you give runs
- Your review decisions on pairings and claims, and any wording you change
- Your Acquire / Consider / Pass calls on assets, and your notes
- Assets you choose to watch
Decisions, calls and run names show your name and the time. Everyone on the Lodestar team can see them.
What we don't collect. The App has no advertising, no analytics or tracking SDKs, and no third-party crash reporting. It doesn't access your location, contacts, photos, camera, microphone or health data. It doesn't track you across other companies' apps or websites.
Information stored only on your device
Some settings stay on your device and are never sent to us:
- The server address
- Whether demo data is on
- Your Mine / Others / All view
- Pinned runs
Files you export, such as shortlist CSVs or memos you copy or share, go only where you send them.
How we use information
We use this information only to run Lodestar:
- Signing you in and checking your role
- Running analyses and showing results
- Recording and sharing review decisions within the team
- Sending you email alerts about assets you watch
- Keeping the service secure and fixing problems
We don't sell your information, and we don't use it for advertising.
Who we share it with
- Other Lodestar users at SKIA. Your name appears with your decisions and runs.
- Service providers who run Lodestar for us. This includes cloud hosting and email delivery. Our analysis also uses third-party AI model providers. These providers process the compound data and documents you submit so Lodestar can read and assess them. They act on our instructions and may not use the data for their own purposes.
- When the law requires it, or to protect the rights and safety of SKIA or others.
Security
The App talks to our server only over encrypted HTTPS connections. Your access token is kept in the device Keychain and is available only on that device. Access within Lodestar is limited by role.
Retention
We keep account information while your account is active. We keep work content for as long as SKIA needs it for its business, or as the law requires. An administrator can delete finished runs, along with their review decisions and watches. When your access ends, an administrator deactivates your account and your tokens stop working.
Your choices and rights
You can sign out at any time, revoke device tokens from the web app, and stop watching assets. To ask for a copy of your personal information, a correction or a deletion, contact us at the address below. We'll respond as the law applicable to you requires. Because Lodestar is a company tool, some records, such as review decisions, may be kept as business records.
Changes
We'll post any update to this policy at this address and change the effective date above.
